The Fertile Crescent is the region in the Middle East which curves, like a quarter-moon shape, from the Persian Gulf, through modern-day southern Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel and northern Egypt. The term was first coined in 1916 by the Egyptologist James Henry Breasted in his work Ancient Times: A History of the Early World, where he wrote, “This fertile crescent is approximately a semi-circle, with the open side toward the south, having the west end at the south-east corner of the Mediterranean, the centre directly north of Arabia, and the east end at the north end of the Persian Gulf."

Is Post-Apartheid South Africa living up to its promises?
Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

Apartheid, the Afrikaans’ word for segregation, brought white supremacy to a whole new level as the rest of the continent was decolonizing following World War II. The National Party government treated non-whites as second class citizens and in the case of Africans, non-citizens. By confining Africans to the ‘homelands’ of Bantus tans, the National Party was able to justify stripping away any basic rights Africans had in the country of South Africa. The international community refused to recognize these homelands, and pressure eventually began to build from all sides to allow equal rights for all residents of South Africa. Pressure came in the form of economic sanctions, expulsions from international organizations, and the divestment of foreign companies.

A herniated disc is an injury of the pads of cartilage between the vertebrae in which the cartilage bulges from normal position.
Sholpan [36]
The answer to this question would be fibrous cartilage.

Fibrous is a connective tissue that used for protecting. It found mostly in the joint where it helps bind it up so the joint will not dislocate. In this case, the fibrous tissue is protecting the vertebrae so it won't slide to the front, back or the side. If vertebrae moved from its normal position, it can cause pain to the back.
