In social psychology, <em>primacy effect</em> is explained as the phenomenon which occurs when we tend to remember better the information that was given at the beginning of a series. We naturally recall more easily whatever it is that we see or hear first, than what comes next.

As opposed to the primacy effect, we have the <em>recency effect</em> that happens when we are able to more easily and efficiently appropriate the most recent information, the one we heard last.
