First use a analogy

SOH CAH TOA

Or remember Some Old Hippie Caught Another Hippie Tripping On Asphalt

SOH - Opposite/Hypotenuse

CAH- Adjacent (next to)/Hypotenuse

TOA - Opposite/Adjacent (next to)

Sin(A) - opposite (25)/Hypotenuse (32)

25/32 = 0.78125 or 25/32 (already in simplest form)

Cos - Adjacent(12)/Hypotenuse(32)

12/32= 0.375 or 3/8

Work out the sum of 1 6 , 4 5 and 2 3 . give your answer as a mixed number in its simplest form.
Tcecarenko [31]

The sum of numbers is = 1 \frac{19}{30}

First find the least common denominator of 1/6, 4/5, and 2/3. The least common denominator of that list is: 30.

= 1/6 + 4/5 + 2/3

= \frac{5+24+20}{30}

= 49 / 30

The sum of numbers in mixed fraction  = 1 \frac{19}{30}

<h3>What is mixed fraction?</h3>

A fraction represented with its quotient and remainder is a mixed fraction. For example, 2 1/3 is a mixed fraction, where 2 is the quotient, 1 is the remainder. So, a mixed fraction is a combination of a whole number and a proper fraction.

What is the volume of a 14 in diameter pipe that’s 2156 long?
storchak [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

given that diameter of the pipe = 14 inches

radius = 7 inches

Length =2156 inches

Pipe is in the form of a cylinder

Volume of cylinder = pi r^2 h

where r = radius and h = l = 2156

We have to substitute the values of r and h.

Let us take pi as 22/7

= 22/7 (7)(7)(2156)

Cancel out 7 and multiply the remaining 22 ,7 and 2156

=332024 cubic inches
