The central nervous system consists of the spinal cord and the brain. The peripheral nervous system is made up of nerves and small amount of gray matter known as the ganglia. The nervous system is a very important part of the body as it is responsible of connecting all of the organs and the parts to the brain. It is responsible for carrying messages to the brain and out from the brain to the other parts of the body.
