The correct answer is option D

Mendel is known as the father of genetics. He proposed some laws related to genetics.

Mendel worked on pea plants and by his work he found evidences that there are two factors responsible for carrying the traits from one generation to another.

These two forms of traits were dominant( visible in F1 generation) and recessive (visible in F2 generation).

Example: Shape of pea see can be round or wrinkled. Round is dominant and wrinkled is recessive.

MAVERICK [17]

If the potato slice becomes soft and limp after soaking for one hour in the solution, the solution is hypertonic.

What is a hypertonic solution?

In biology, a hypertonic solution is a solution with more solute concentration than it is found in the sap of any other cell placed in it.

Such solutions have lower water potential than the cells placed in them. Thus, water will readily move by osmosis from the sap of the cells into the solution.

Cells that are placed in hypertonic solutions, therefore, usually end up becoming flaccid as a result of water loss.

So, if after soaking for one hour in a solution whose concentration is not known, a slice of potato becomes soft and limp, it means the solution is hypertonic.

It is a true fact that the loss of an organism at the bottom of a food chain negatively impacts all organisms in the chain.

Explanation:

This is because if the below organism which is constantly interchanged with plants, no herbivores would eat those plants, thus, will also die, which will also determine that the next consumers will have trifle to eat which will also happen to their deaths. So, yes. It concerns it negatively. And very negatively.
