Water erosion is the phenomena which involves the detachment or removal of particles of soil, rocks or other substrate with the effect of free flowing water. The eroded material is removed from it's original site and deposited at some other place. The deposition of eroded material causes the formation of land forms.
Alluvial fans: These are sloppy deposits, which are formed when a free flowing water passes off a mountain range. The water deposits soil, debris and other sediments in a characteristic fan shape.
Deltas: Deltas are deposits of sediments, which develop when water of river enters into another river or ocean.
Deposition: Accumulation of deposits at places because of the fact that water takes away the sediments from one place and deposit at another place.
Explanation: The roots of seed plants have three major functions: anchoring the plant to the soil, absorbing water and minerals and transporting them upwards, and storing the products of photosynthesis.
