8m + 4n + 7m - 2n

You wouldn't have any trouble with this at all if it said

8monkeys + 4nuts + 7monkeys - 2nuts

First you would look through it to see how many monkeys there are all together. You would addum up.

8monkeys + 7monkeys = 15 monkeys

Then you would look through it to see how many nuts there are all together, and you would addum up.

4nuts - 2nuts = 2 nuts

Then you would write these results on one line:

15monkeys + 2nuts .

Why should it be a big tough deal when there's just a bunch of m's and n's ?

First, just look through it to see how many m's there are all together, and addum up:

8 m's + 7 m's = 15 m's

Then just look through it to see how many n's there are all together, and addum up:

4 n's - 2 n's = 2 n's

Then write these results on one line:

15 m + 2 n .

That's choice-c .

Bumek [7]

Answer: 60 students

Step-by-step explanation:

So, in the first situation 430 students were surveyed and 258 said that their favourite pet was a dog. The second situation is 100 students and x said that their favourite pet was a dog. We are solving x.

430=258

100= x

Cross multiply

So that is

430 x X= 100x258

430x=25800

Divide both sides by 430

You are downloading a song. The percent y(in decimal form) of megabytes remaining to download after x seconds is y=-0.1x+1.
igomit [66]

I would make the equation have both of your variables on the same side:

0.1x+y=1

Then I would use the cover-up method and say that

x-intercept= 10

y-intercept= 1

*Cover-Up Method: If you were finding the X-intercept, you would just ignore the y variable and divide your whole number by x.

In this case the whole number is 1. 1/0.1=10

Vice Versa with finding the Y-intercept
