Answer:You can get the valence electrons in an atom's electronic arrangement by consulting the periodic table:

Explanation:

The Group 1 atoms have 1 valence electron.

The Group 2 atoms have 2 valence electrons.

The Group 3 atoms have 3 valence electrons.

The Group 4 atoms have 4 valence electrons.

Alrighty so I’m a little unsure of what you’re asking, but I’ll try my best!
Every atom has a specific number of Protons that only that atoms contains.
Neutrons can variety by the atom which gives you an Isotope.
The Protons and an unboned Atom’s Electrons are the same.
To find the Valence from just the proton number you can use this equation :

protons = electrons

# of electrons - 2 = the first layer
# of leftover electrons - 8 = the second layer and just keep going until one layer is not full

A gas that exerts a pressure of 537 torr in a container with a volume of 5.30 L will exert a pressure of 255 torr when transferr
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Answer:- The gas needs to be transferred to a container with a volume of 11.2 L.

Solution:- From Boyle's law. "At constant temperature, Volume is inversely proportional to the pressure."

It means, the volume is decreased if the pressure is increased and vice versa.

Here, the Pressure is decreasing from 537 torr to 255 torr. So, the volume must increase and calculated by using the equation:

P_1V_1=P_2V_2

Where, P_1 is initial pressure and P_2 is final pressure. Similarly, V_1 is initial volume and V_2 is final volume.

Let's plug in the values in the equation:

(537 torr)(5.30 L) = (255 torr)(V_2)

V_2=(\frac{537 torr*5.30 L}{255 torr})

V_2 = 11.2 L

So, the new volume of the container needs to be 11.2 L.

3. give reasons
soldi70 [24.7K]

Answer:

A.A gas exerts pressure on the walls of the container. Reason: They have high kinetic energy and negligible force of attraction to move constantly moving with high speed in all directions. ... These collisions of the gas particles with the container walls exert pressure on the walls of the container.

B A gas exerts pressure on the walls of the container due to imapact of its gas molecules with hight velocity .

C.A wooden table should be called a solid. Reason: It has a definite shape and volume. It is very rigid and cannot be compressed, i.e., it has a solid characteristic.

D.We can easily move our hand in air but to do the same through a solid block of wood we need a karate expert. It is because the molecules of air has less force of attraction between them and a very small external force can separate them and pass through it.
