7 guests = 500ml × 7 = 3500ml = 3.5litres
1 litre = $1.50
0.5 litre = $1.50 ÷ 2 = $0.75
3.5litres = $1.50 + $1.50 + $1.50 + $0.75 = $5.25
answer is $5.25
