A planarian is a flat worm belongs to phylum Platyhelminthes. It has a soft, broadleaf shaped body covered with cilia. Planarian has a three branched digestive system.

There is difference between the two ends. At the head region there are two auricles; ear like structure whereas the other end is simply tail.

Epithelial cells are capable of regeneration

Some planarians have eye spots which act as photoreceptors and tell them to move away from light.

Two organisms which have a power of regeneration are planarian and sponges.

When a part of organisms break, it grows back into complete organisms.

in the process of photosynthesis and aerobic respiration why the amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide remains the same?
fiasKO [112]

Plants capture sunlight to acquire energy needed to produce their own food. Photosynthesis uses light energy to convert water and carbon dioxide into glucose and oxygen. Cellular respiration provides usable energy for the cell in the form of ATP. Water and carbon dioxide are products of cellular respiration.

What differentiates anthropocentric and biocentric views of the environment?
Dafna11 [192]
If we were to differentiate anthroprocentric and biocentric views of the environment you could say that anthroprocentric is more holistic than biocentric. They consider the importance of the environment to human beings. Biocentric sees humans as an individual part of the environment.

Also Biocentric views tend to focus more on biotic factors (living things) and anthroprocentric veer towards the abiotic factors (non-living things).
