How to find a circle with given two point with some point in a line?

The standard equation of a circle is (x-k)²+(y-h)²=r², (h,k) is center of the center, r is the radius.
if the given two points form the diameter, find the midpoint of this diameter, the midpoint is the center of the circle. half the distance between these two points is the radius.
you can also use the third point to find the radius, by plugging the x and y values into the equation after you find k and h.

if either two of the three points form the diameter, plug the three different sets of x and y values in the equation. you have three equations with three unknown numbers h, k and r. solve to find h, k, and r.

Calculer x si (x+1/2)^2= 4/9
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

x=-\frac{7}{6}\\x=\frac{1}{6}

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation to solve is:

(x+\frac{1}{2})^2=\frac{4}{9}

To get rid of the "square", we need to take square root of both sides:

\sqrt{(x+\frac{1}{2})^2}=\sqrt{\frac{4}{9}}\\x+\frac{1}{2}=\frac{\sqrt{4}}{\sqrt{9}}

Then we use algebra to find the value(s) of x. Remember, when we take square root, we have to add up a "+-" (on the right side). Shown below:

x+\frac{1}{2}=+-\frac{\sqrt{4}}{\sqrt{9}}\\x+\frac{1}{2}=+-\frac{2}{3}\\x=\frac{2}{3}-\frac{1}{2}=\frac{1}{6}\\x=-\frac{2}{3}-\frac{1}{2}=-\frac{7}{6}

So these are 2 answers for x.

Three numbers between 4.1 and 4.2
rosijanka [135]
The previous answer that the person gave you is incorrect as 4.50 and 4.75 are not between 4.1 and 4.2....they are greater.

3 numbers between 4.1 and 4.2 are:
4.12, 4.14, and 4.19

All of these #'s are not less then 4.1 and also not greater then 4.2...they are between the 2 numbers
