A thermometer is a tool that measures temperature — how hot or cold something is. ... Made up of thermo (heat) and meter (measuring device), the meaning of the word thermometer is pretty straightforward. Thermometers measure temperatures in degrees, according to either the Celsius or Fahrenheit system.

Explain how lines latitude and longitude help people find locations on earth.
Bad White [126]
Latitude and longitude are the x and y axis on a grid. When you're trying to find a location on earth, you need to graph it, so you can pinpoint the location. There is no grid if there is no longitude and/or latitude lines. Without one of the lines, it would be very hard to graph, which will be difficult in finding locations on earth. But hey, I'm not too sure. I recommend looking at other people's answers too and searching it up.

Plz Help Me
Rasek [7]

Answer:- The wavelength is 1.36*10^1^2m and the right option is D.

Solution:- Wavelength is inversely proportional to the frequency and the equation is:

\lambda =\frac{c}{\nu }

where, \lambda
is the wavelength, c is the speed of light and \nu is frequency.

Frequency is 2.20*10^-^4Hz and the speed of light is 3.00*10^8\frac{m}{s} .

Since, 1Hz=1s^-^1

So, 2.20*10^-^4Hz=2.20*10^-^4s^-^1

Let's plug in the values in the equation:

\lambda =\frac{3.00*10^8m.s^-^1}{2.20*10^-^4s^-^1}

\lambda =1.36*10^1^2m

Hence, the right option is D) 1.36*10^1^2m .

If a particle has Z = 25 and 23 electrons, what is its charge?
Anton [14]

Answer:- The charge is +2.

Explanations:- Z stands for atomic number. The Z is given as 25 means the atomic number of the element is 25. It has 23 electrons. For a neutral atom the number of electrons is same as the atomic number. Since the number of electrons is less than atomic number, the atom must have lost the electrons.

Number of electrons lost = 25 - 23 = 2

If the element lost electrons then it has positive charge. As, the electrons are lost, the charge is +2.
