This is called bursitis specifically olecranon bursitis. Olecranon bursa in the elbow is a thin fluid filled sac at the tip of the elbow. The bursa fills with fluid which can lead into inflammation on the surrounding area of the elbow resulting in pain and limitations of movement. Complications can happen if medical attention is not given. This includes bleeding, bruising, infectins, necrotizing fasciitis can also happen.
