(2d + 1) / d

(2d + 1 + 4) / (d + 4) = 5/3
(2d + 5) / (d + 4) = 5/3
3(2d + 5) = 5(d + 4)
6d + 15 = 5d + 20
6d - 5d = 20 - 15
d = 5

(11 + 4) / (5 + 4) = 5/3
15/9 = 5/3
5/3 = 5/3 (correct)

ur numerator is 11, ur denominator is 5.....adding 4 to each gives u 15/9, which reduces to 5/3

5.
the equation looks like:
((2x+1)+4)/((x)+4)= 5/3
then you do cross multiplication and get:
6x+3+12=5x+20
subtract 5x on each side. subrtract the 3 and 12 from the 20.
and you get your answer 5=x
