Make an equation:

5x+12=6x

Use the subtraction property:

x=12

The final answer is that the cost for members and nonmembers will be the same when there have been 12 classes.

<h2>Answer with Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

Members pay a $12 membership fee and $5 for each aerobic class.

i.e. if x is the number of aerobic classes then,

Members have to pay=5x+12

Nonmembers pay $6 for each aerobic class.

i.e. if x is the number of aerobic classes then,

Non members have to pay=6x

We have to determine the number of classes so that they both have to pay same amount

i.e. we have to find the value of x in

6x=5x+12

Subtracting both sides by 5x, we get

x=12

Hence, for 12 classes members and nonmembers have to pay the same amount

Find three consecutive even integers such that 3 times the first is 26 less than twice the sum of the last two
Dimas [21]
Let's say our first integer is "a".

how to get the next consecutive EVEN integer?  well, just add or subtract 2 from it, therefore, the second consecutive integer will be "a + 2".

and the next after that, will then be (a + 2) + 2, or "a + 4".

so those are are 3 integers, a           a + 2           a+4

notice that, from any even or odd integer, if you hop twice either forwards or backwards, you'll land on another even or odd integer respectively.

2 + 2 is 4, or 8 + 2 is 10  some even ones

3 + 2 is 5, or 13 + 2 is 15, some odd ones

\bf \stackrel{\textit{3 times the first}}{3a}~~=~~\stackrel{\textit{26 less than twice the sum of the others}}{2[~(a+2)+(a+4)~]~~~-26}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;3a=2[~2a+6~]-26\implies 3a=4a+12-26\implies 3a=4a-14&#10;\\\\\\&#10;0=a-14\implies 14=a

what are the other two consecutive integers?  well, a + 2 and a + 4.

In the figure, AB║CD and ∠EIA is congruent to ∠GJB Complete the following statements to prove that ∠IKL is congruent to ∠DLH.
REY [17]

Here it is given that AB || CD

< EIA = <GJB

Now

∠EIA ≅ ∠IKC and ∠GJB is ≅ ∠ JLD (Corresponding angles)

∠EIA  ≅ ∠GJB then ∠IKC ≅ ∠ JLD (Substitution Property of Congruency)

∠IKL + ∠IKC 180° and ∠DLH +  ∠JLD =180° (Linear Pair Theorem)

So

m∠IKL + m∠IKC = 180°       ....(1)

But ∠IKC  ≅ ∠JLD

m∠IKC = m∠JLD (SUBTRACTION PROPERTY OF CONGRUENCY)

So we have

m∠IKL + m∠JLD = 180°

∠IKL and ∠JLD are supplementary angles.

But ∠DLH and ∠JLD are supplementary angles.

∠IKL ≅ ∠DLH (CONGRUENT SUPPLEMENTS THEOREM)

the amount of rhubarb in the original is 3 1/2 cups using what you know of whole numbers and what you know of fractions explain
LuckyWell [14K]
To triple this number, you can triple the whole number, triple the fraction, then add them together.

3*3=9
1/2*3=3/2 (or 1 1/2)

Add them together.

9+1 1/2= 10 1/2

What you must do in this case is to find the roots of the polynomial.
 We have then:
 x ^ 2 + 20x + 100 = 36
 Rewriting:
 x ^ 2 + 20x + 64 = 0
 The values of the roots are:
 x1 = -4
 x2 = -16
 Remember that the values of the roots are what make the polinome zero
 Answer:
 x1 = -4
 x2 = -16
