The rocket-driven sled Sonic Wind No. 2, used for investigating the physiological effects of large accelerations, runs on a stra

ight, level track that is 1080 m long. Starting from rest, it can reach a speed of 1560 km/h in 1.70 s.

A) acceleration = [change in velocity] / [time interval] = [final velocity - initial velocity] / t =

acceleration = [1560 km/h -0] / 1.7 s = 1560 km/h / 1.7 s

convert the velocity to m/s: 1560 km/h * 1000 m/ km * 1h/3600 s = 433.33 m/s

acceleration = 433.33 m/s / 1.7 s = 254.9 m/s^2

b) Acceleration in terms of g

 acceleration = 254.9 m/s^2 /[ 9.8 m/s^2 / g] = 26 g.

This is the acceleration is 26 times the gravitational acceleration.

c) distance

d = a*t^2 / 2 = 254.9 m/s^2 * (1.70s)^2 / 2 = 88.2 m

How does moon appears to mov e across the night sky
trasher [3.6K]

Answer:

The moon moves because the earth rotates around its axis of rotation. Although the moon moves too around its orbit, the speed is too small to notice. In other words, the moon's position changes insignificantly, however, the earth rotates fast enough to notice.

To increase the speed at which Google Analytics compiles reports, what action could be taken?
Yuri [45]

Answer:

Answer Choose “Faster response” in the sampling pull-down menu

Explanation:

At the top of the report, below the date range selector, select faster response,

This option uses a smaller sampling size to give you faster results. In order to get a better understanding lets define sampling, according to Google analytics website

In data analysis, sampling is the practice of analyzing a subset of all data in order to uncover the meaningful information in the larger data set.

For example, if you wanted to estimate the number of trees in a 100-acre area where the distribution of trees was fairly uniform, you could count the number of trees in 1 acre and multiply by 100, or count the trees in a half acre and multiply by 200 to get an accurate representation of the entire 100 acres.

Your companion on a train ride through Illinois notices that telephone poles near the tracks appear to be passing by very quickl
QveST [7]

Answer:

A) motion parallax

Explanation:

Motion parallax is a visual perception while we are in motion with respect to our surrounding in which the surroundings objects nearer to our eyes appear to move or pass at a faster pace than the objects farther to our eyes during the motion.

This can also be understood as the angular displacement of the objects while our motion. The objects nearer to our eyes have a rapid change in the angular position than the objects far away from us.
