Answer:

Length=17

Width=13

Step-by-step explanation:

The general formula for calculating the perimeter of a rectangle is 2(l+w)

L=length

W=width

But this value is not given specifically in the question,so we will have to interpret the question

So let solve this

Let the length of the rectangle be x

The width is 4m longer than the length,4+x

So let's solve

2(x+4+x)=60

2(2x+4)=60

4x+8=60

Substrate 8 from both sides

4x=52

Let's make x the subject of formula by dividing both sides by 4

x=13

So the width is 13

Let's calculate the length

4+x

4+13

17

Length=17

Width=13

Why can 2 obtuse angles make a right triangle please help
djverab [1.8K]
They can NOT.  A right angle is 90°.  An obtuse angle is greater than 90°.  All the angles in a triangle must add up to exactly 180°.  If two angles are greater than 90° then they will add up to greater than 180, beacuse 90 plus 90 equals 180.  You cannot have a triangle with two obtuse angles because they will add up to greater than 180°.

If the two angles below are supplementary, solve for x.
IrinaVladis [17]
Supplementary angles always equal 180. Then you just solve from there.

7x+5x+24=180
12x+24=180
-24 -24
12x=156
/12 /12
X=12

Mamont248 [21]
Since ABC is equal to DCB, you can use the angles given in triangle ABC in triangle DCB. Since the sum of the angles in a triangle is 180, the equation would be this:
90+46+x=180

Solve for x in that and you're good :)

Explain how 7/12 is greater than one third but less than two thirds
andreev551 [17]
7/12 is greater than 1/3 but less than 2/3.
in order to find if this is true, you need to find the common denominator which is 12. in order for 1/3 to have a denominator of 12, you need to multiply by 4. but we all know the rule. whatever we do to the bottom needs to be done to the top, so 1/3 is = 4/12. 7/12 is greater than 4/12. we do the same to 2/3 and multiply the denominator by 4 and the numerator by 4 as well, and the result would be 8/12. if we compare, 7/12 is less than 8/12.
