Answer:

Number is 61 or 16

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the digit at tens place and y be the digit at ones place.

So, the two digit number is 10x+y.

When the digits are reversed, number becomes 10y+x

According to question,  the sum of a 2-digit number and the 2-digit number when the digits are reversed is 77

10x+y+10y+x=77

11x+11y=77

x+y=7    (i)

Also, difference of the same two numbers is 45

(10x+y)-(10y+x)=45   or   (10y+x)-(10x+y)=45

x-y=5    (ii)         or     y-x=5  (iii)

Consider equations (i) and (ii)

Put x=y+5 in x+y=7

y+5+y=7

2y=2

y=1

So, x=y+5=1+5=6

So, number = 10x+y=10(6)+1=61

Consider equations (ii) and (iii)

Put y=x+5 in x+y=7

x+5+x=7

2x=2

x=1

So, y=x+5=1+5=6

So, number = 10(1)=6=16

Therefore, number is 61 or 16

Solve the equation. Show your work. 45 = 3b + 69
Cerrena [4.2K]
There should be no problem in finding the value of the unknown variable "b" in the equation given in the question.The equation is solvable for finding the value of "b" because it is the only unknown variable in the single equation that is given in the question.
45 = 3b + 69
Let us reverse both sides of the equation first. then, we get
3b + 69 = 45
3b = 45 - 69
3b = - 24
b = - (24/3)
   = - 8
So from the above deduction, we can easily conclude that the value of b in the given equation is -8.

What would my GPA be? Here are my grades.
marta [7]
That is approximately, in order, a C, a C, a B, a D, an A, a B, and an A.

In grade points that is a 2, a 2, a 3, a 1, a 4, a 3, and a 4.

The average of those numbers is about 2.7, so you have a 2.7.

You can raise that by bringing up the D as it is an outlier here.

A trip to another city is 180 miles. In miles per hour to the nearest tenth, how fast does one have to drive to average 60 mph o
irakobra [83]

Answer:

63.5

Step-by-step explanation:

If one didn't take a 10 minute break he could drive 60 mph totalling 180 minutes but since he did and 180 - 10 = 170. He/she has to drive 180 miles in 170 min. so we take so we divde 180/170 and multiply by 60. If you round it to the nearest tenth you get 63.5
