Answer:

Her answer is not reliable.

Explanation:

Reliability and validity are two major concepts that are used to assess the standard and quality of response/research.

While validity of an instrument is the idea that the instrument measures what it intends to measure, reliability is all about consistency and whether or not results could be replicated.

While your friend's answer may be valid, it can't reliable because of the differences in her response within a short time.

How is high temperature achieved by concave mirror?
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

A concave mirror is used in the design of solar furnaces because they converge the parallel sunrays at a point. This helps to increase the temperature of the furnace.

Imagine you are in an open field where two loudspeakers are set up and connected to the same amplifier so that they emit sound w
mario62 [17]

Answer:

The distance we need to walk in other not to hear the speakers for a speaker separation distance of 1 m, while walking in front of one of the speaker is 1.875 meters

Explanation:

The wavelength of the wave is obtained from the formula, v = f × λ

Where;

v = The velocity of the wave = 344 m/s

f = The frequency of the wave = 688 Hz

λ = The wavelength of the wave

λ = v/f = (344 m/s)/(688 Hz) = 1/2 meters

Therefore, for one not to be able to here the speakers, there must be destructive interference and R₁ - R₂ = λ/2 = (1/2)/2 = 1/4 m

Where R₁ and R₂ are the distances from the person to the two speakers respectively

When the distance between the two speakers = 1 meter, we have

R₁ = √(x² + d²), R₂ = √((1 - x)² + d²)

R₁ - R₂ = √(x² + d²) - √((1 - x)² + d²) = 1/4

When we walk from directly in front of one of the speakers, we get;

R₁ - R₂ = √(1 + d²) - √((1 - 1)² + d²) = 1/4

√(1² + d²) - d = 1/4

√(1² + d²)  = 1/4 + d

Square both sides gives

1² + d² = 1/16 + d/2 + d²

1²  = 1/16 + d/2

d/2 = 1 - 1/16 = 15/16

d = 2 × 15/16 = 15/8

d = 15/8 = 1.875 meters.

The kinetic energy of a moving object is E=12mv2. A 61 kg runner is moving at 10kmh. However, her speedometer is only accurate t
jek_recluse [69]

Answer:

e=3367.2J

%e=1.43%

Explanation:

From the exercise we know two information. The real speed and the experimental measured by the speedometer

v_{r}=10km/h=2.77m/s

Since the speedometer is only accurate to within 0.1km/h the experimental speed is

v_{e}=10km/h-0.1km/h=9.9km/h=2.75m/s

Knowing that we can calculate Kinetic energy for the real and experimental speed

E_{r}=\frac{1}{2}mv^2=\frac{1}{2}(61000g)(2.77m/s)^2=234023J

E_{e}=\frac{1}{2}mv^2=\frac{1}{2}(61000g)(2.75m/s)^2=230656J

Now, the potential error in her calculated kinetic energy is:

e=E_{r}-E_{e}=(234023-230656)J=3367.2J

%e=\frac{E_{r}-E_{e}}{E_{r}}x100=\frac{(234023-230656)J}{234023J}x100=1.43%

An object's natural frequency depends partially on the material from which it is made.
laiz [17]

Yes. Partly.  Also on the size and shape of the object, and also on what material it's IN at the time ... like air, water, Helium, Jello, etc.
