HELPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!! Calculate the correlation coefficient for the following data, showing all work. What does it tell you about
stiks02 [169]

Answer:

I will show the way.

Step-by-step explanation:

r is the correlation coefficient

r=\frac{SSxy}{\sqrt{(SSxx)(SSyy)}}

To find SSxy

SSxy= ∑xy- ∑\frac{(x)(y)}{n}

To find SSxx

SSxy= ∑x^{2}- (∑x)^{2}/n

To find SSyy

SSxy= ∑y^{2}- (∑y)^{2}/n

if your r is near +1, it shows strong positive correlation. Y is proportional to X.

And if it nears -1, it would show strong negative correlation. Y is inversely proportional to X.

How would I go about solving this?
garik1379 [7]
If you draw more of those triangles, there will be 6 that can fit, so find area of 1 triangle and multiply it by 6. Write that number down and then do Pi r squared to find the area of the circle, then do circle area minus triangles area when you get that, divide it by 6. That is the area of the white region so then do Pi R squared again and then subtract the white area from that

Given that f(x) = x2 + 10x + 21 and g(x) = x + 7, find (f•g)(x) and express
sammy [17]

Answer:

<h2>(f.g)x =  {x}^{2}  + 24x + 140</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

given \\ f(x) = x ^{2}  + 10x + 21 \: and \: g(x) = x + 7

as \: we \: know \: (f.g)x \: is \: same \: as

f(g(x))

so \:

f(x + 7) = ( x + 7) ^{2}  + 10(x + 7) + 21

f(x + 7) =  {x}^{2}  + 14x + 49 + 10x + 70 + 21

f(x + 7) = x^{2}  + 24x + 140

therefore

(f.g)x =  {x}^{2}  + 24x + 140
