An electric fan is running on HIGH. After fan has been running for 1.1 minutes, the LOW button is pushed. The fan slows down to

105 rad/sec in 1.85 seconds. The blades of the fan have a diameter of 6.2 meters and their deceleration rate is 4.4 rad/sec2. 1)What was the initial angular speed of the fan in rev/sec? ωi =

Answer:

ωi = 15.4 rev/sec

Explanation:

Since the movement of the fan is rotating, we are thus dealing with Rotational motion. In rotational motion, for angular speed to take place also means angular acceleration is also occurring.

angular acceleration = α = (change in speed)/(change in time)

angular acceleration = α = Δw/Δt = (ω - ωi) /(t- t₀) ..........(equation 1)

                                      α =  (ω -ωi) /(t- 0)

                                      α =  (ω-ωi) /t

                                      ωi  =  ω - αt ......................................(equation 2)

where ωi is the initial angular speed.

We replace the values for ω, t and α

ωi = 105 rad/sec - ( 4.4 rad/sec² )(1.85s) = 96.86 rad/s = 15.415747788 rev/sec

How much work is done if 10 N is applied to a 5kg object for 10 meters if there is an opposing force of 5 N
BlackZzzverrR [31]

Answer:

50 J

Explanation:

The net force acting on the box is given by the algebraic sum of the two forces, so:

F=10 N -5 N = 5 N

The net work done on the box is equal to (assuming the net force is parallel to the displacement of the object)

W=Fd

where

F = 5 N is the net force on the object

d = 10 m is the displacement of the object

Substituting,

W=(5 N)(10 m)=50 J

Automobile traveling at 65 mph constant on the road described below. Find rate at which radar must rotate when theta = 15 deg. A
Finger [1]

Answer:

The rate at which radar must rotate is 0.335 rad/s.

Explanation:

Given that,

Velocity = 65 m/h = 29.0576 m/s

Angle = 15°

Suppose, the radius given by

r=(100\cos2\theta)\ m

We need to calculate the rate at which radar must rotate

Using formula of linear velocity

v=r\omega

\omega=\dfrac{v}{r}

Where, v = velocity

r = radius

Put the value into the formula

\omega=\dfrac{29.0576}{100\cos30}

\omega=0.335\ rad/s

Hence, The rate at which radar must rotate is 0.335 rad/s.

The charge distribute on the inner surface with the radius r₁ will be zero,In the region r₁<r<r₂ will also zero. While on the outer surface with radius r₂ will be -q.

What is Gauss law?

The total electric flux out of a closed surface is equal to the charge contained divided by the permittivity,

According to Gauss Law. the electric flux in a given area is calculated by multiplying the electric field by the area of the surface projected in a plane perpendicular to the field.

From the Gauss law, it is stated that the field inside the conductor is zero. Charge will lie only on the surface.

(a)The charge distribute on the inner surface with the radius r₁ will be zero.

(b) In the region r₁<r<r₂ will also zero.

(c)The outer surface with radius r₂ charge distribution will be -q.

Hence, the charge distribute on the inner surface with the radius r₁ will be zero,
