the structure shown in the picture is made of copper. The three thin rods are of equal dimensions. The single main rod is heated

to 400 °C and then is brought into contact with the rods P, Q, and R. After several minutes, the temperatures of rods P, Q, and R are recorded. Which option gives the correct values of the final temperatures of rods P, Q, and R? A) P = R < Q B) P = Q = R C) P = R > Q D) P = Q < R

What is kirchoff s law???
kolbaska11 [484]
There are two laws named for Kirchhoff.  The both concern electrical circuits.
Here they are in my own words:

1).  The sum of the voltage drops around any closed loop in a circuit is zero.

2).  The sum of the currents at any single point in a circuit is zero.

A ball moving at positive 3.0 m per s along a table rolls off a table and lands on the ground 2.0 m away. How high was the table
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

consider the motion along the horizontal direction :

v₀ = initial velocity in horizontal direction as the ball rolls off the table = 3.0 m/s

X = horizontal displacement of the ball = 2.0 m

a = acceleration along the horizontal direction = 0 m/s²

t = time taken to land = ?

using the kinematics equation

X = v₀ t + (0.5) a t²

2.0 = 3.0 t + (0.5) (0) t²

t = 2/3

consider the motion of the ball along the vertical direction

v₀ = initial velocity in vertical direction as the ball rolls off the table = 0 m/s

Y = vertical displacement of the ball = height of the table = h

a = acceleration along the vertical direction = 9.8 m/s²

t = time taken to land = 2/3

using the kinematics equation

Y = v₀ t + (0.5) a t²

h = 0 t + (0.5) (9.8) (2/3)²

h = 2.2 m

C 2.2 m

A bowling ball with a negative initial velocity slows down as it rolls down the lane toward the pins. Is the bowling ballâs acce
stiv31 [10]

Answer:

positive

Explanation:

The ball is rolling down with a negative velocity, but the velocity is slowing down. therefore the velocity must increase in order for the ball to slow down.

For example let the ball's initial velocity be -15 m/s. and it  is slowing down to let's say -13 m/s. Well this means that it's velocity has increase by 2 m/s. So, its acceleration is positive.
