For the first one, it asks what is half of 12 (obliviously 6), so if that is half of 12, then it would be a quarter of 24( or 1/4)

the second: if 4 is1/5 of 20 (because 20 divided by 5 is 4), then it would equal 2/5 of 10, because if 4 is equivalent to 1/5 of the number 20, then divide that by 2, to get 4=2/5 of 10. (if you are ever unsure about this, resort to decimals. lets say that you don't know if the answer to the second equation is actually 10. then do this: you know that it is asking for 2/5 of_________. turn 2/5 into a percent to equal 40%. now, what number is 4 equivalent to 40%. and if you are still unsure, just divide 40 by 4.) hope this helps

Stella bought 14 purses for $50. The next day she bought 2 more for a total of $38. What was the mean cost per purse?
denpristay [2]

Answer:

$48.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

Number of purses= 14+2= 16

Cost of 14 purses= $50

Cost of 2 purses= $38

Let us use the weighted cost method

Mean cost = (14*50+ 2*38)/16

Mean cost = (700+ 76)/16

Mean cost = 776/16

Mean cost =$48.5

What is the area of the figure? cm2 Six sided figure with top side equal to eight centimeters and base equal to twenty-four cent
solmaris [256]
Can you show the figure itself not just by describing. In that way, it's easier to solve the area of the polygon.
