For the first one, it asks what is half of 12 (obliviously 6), so if that is half of 12, then it would be a quarter of 24( or 1/4)

the second: if 4 is1/5 of 20 (because 20 divided by 5 is 4), then it would equal 2/5 of 10, because if 4 is equivalent to 1/5 of the number 20, then divide that by 2, to get 4=2/5 of 10. (if you are ever unsure about this, resort to decimals. lets say that you don't know if the answer to the second equation is actually 10. then do this: you know that it is asking for 2/5 of_________. turn 2/5 into a percent to equal 40%. now, what number is 4 equivalent to 40%. and if you are still unsure, just divide 40 by 4.) hope this helps

As a town gets smaller, the population of its high school decreases by 8% each year. The senior class has 320 students now. In h
Semmy [17]

Answer:

in 13.95 years the senior class will have 100 students.

Step-by-step explanation:

P(h) = p(0.92)^t (equation for exponential change)

P(h) - population of highschool (or senior class) = 100

p - staring amount = 320

t = time in years

100 = 320(0.92)^t

1/3.2 = .92^t (divide both sides by 320)

log(1/3.2, .92) = t (log base 0.92 of 1/3.2 equals t)

13.9497 = t

What is the distance between the zoo and the library?
KATRIN_1 [288]
The answer is as follow

sin60° = 400√3 / H1, implies H1= 400√3 / sin60°
sin30° = 400√3 / H2, implies H2= 400√3 / sin30°
and the if the distance is D,
so we can find D such that D= H2 - H1=400√3 / sin30° - 400√3 / sin60°
D= 400√3(1/sin30° - 1/ sin60°)=400√3(2-1.15)=338.11√3
