The first one is “it is not possible” because if all the side lengths are equal al the angles have to be 60 degrees since it is an equilateral

The second one is “it is possible” because the angles will remain the same if you change the lengths to a different measure. However, all the new lengths must be the same.

The distance from the owl to the squirrel would be found by using the law of sins/co-sins

Cos (known angle) = adjacent leg / hypotenuse ( distance wanted)

cos(50) = 14 / x

x = 14 / cos50

x = 21.78 feet

 The problem doesn't say if the answer should be rounded or not. You may have to round the answer if needed.

Write an example of the associative property of addition
vfiekz [6]
The word "associative" comes from "associate" or "group";the Associative Property is the rule that refers to grouping. For addition, the rule is "<span>a + (b + c) = (a + b) + c</span><span>"; in numbers, this means
</span>2 + (3 + 4) = (2 + 3) + 4. For multiplication, the rule is "<span>a(bc) = (ab)c</span>"; in numbers, this means2(3×4) = (2×3)4<span>. Any time they refer to the Associative Property, they want you to regroup things; any time a computation depends on things being regrouped, they want you to say that the computation uses the Associative Property.</span>

If angle X is an acute angle with tan X = 8/7, what is the value of sec X?
iren [92.7K]

Answer: \frac{\sqrt{113}}{7}

Step-by-step explanation:

As X is an acute angle, all 6 trigonometric functions with an argument of X are positive.

Using the identity 1+\tan^{2} X=\sec^{2} X,

1+\left(\frac{8}{7} \right)^{2}=\sec^{2} X\\\\\sec^{2} X=\frac{113}{49}\\\\\therefore \sec X=\boxed{\frac{\sqrt{113}}{7}}
