Complete swap_bits function which swaps bits at odd and even positions of an integer (32 bits). In other words, every even posit

ion bit is swapped with the adjacent bit on the right side, and every odd position bit is swapped with the adjacent on the left side. For instance, bits 0 and 1 are swapped, bits 2 and 3 are swapped, and so on. It is not recommended to use loops or conditional statements for this part. Example: if the given number is 23 (00010111), it should be converted to 43 (00101011). Note this example, we only use the lower 8 bits of a number, but your program will work on 32-bit numbers. You can expect the input to your function in register $t0. The result must be stored inside $t0 as well.

Answer:

D) Refrigerants.

Explanation:

Refrigerants refers to any chemical substance that undergoes a phase change (liquid and gas) so as to enable the cooling and freezing of materials. They are typically used in air conditioners, refrigerators, water dispensers, etc.

In the United States of America, the agency which was established by US Congress and saddled with the responsibility of overseeing all aspects of pollution, environmental clean up, pesticide use, contamination, and hazardous waste spills is the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Also, EPA research solutions, policy development, and enforcement of regulations through the resource Conservation and Recovery Act .

The Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 prohibit service-related releases of all refrigerants such as R-12 and R-134a. This ban became effective on the 1st of January, 1993.

The minimum fresh air requirement of a residential building is specified to be 0.35 air changes per hour (ASHRAE, Standard 62, 1
Thepotemich [5.8K]

Answer:

a) The flow capacity of the fan is 3150 L/min

d) the minimum diameter is 0.11 m

Explanation:

given data:

A = area of residence = 200 m²

h = height of building = 2.7 m

Percentage of air that must be replaced by fresh air is 35%

v = velocity of air in the duct = 5.5 m/s

a) The volume of the entire building is:

Volume=2.7*200=540m^{3}

The flow capacity of the fan is equal to:

Flow=\frac{0.35*540}{60} =3.15m^{3} /min

Flow=3.15\frac{m^{3} }{min} *\frac{1000L}{1m^{3}  } =3150L/min

b) The volume flow rate of fresh air is equal to:

Flow=\frac{\pi *d^{2} }{4} V\\d=\sqrt{\frac{4*Flow}{\pi V} } =\sqrt{\frac{4*3.15}{\pi *5.5*60} } =0.11m
