Wendy needs to purchase 30 vases, which cost $3 each, and flowers for the vases, which cost $2 each. She has $390 to spend on he

3 0
150 flowers because 30 vases*$3 each=$90
$390-$90=$300
Each flower is $2, so the leftover $300/$2 for each flower is 150.

The sum of two numbers is 67. The larger number is 4 more than 2 times the smaller. What are the two numbers?
Paha777 [63]
X,y - two numbers (x > y)

(1)    x + y = 67 ⇒ x = 67 - y
(2)    x - 4 = 2y

subtitute (1) to (2)

67 - y - 4 = 2y
63 - y = 2y    |add y to both sides
63 = 3y    |divide both sides by 3
y = 21

subtitute the value of y to (1)

x = 67 - 21 = 46

Answer: 21 and 46.

Find the relationship between zeros and intercepts of the polynomial m2 + 5m + 4.
irina1246 [14]

The zeros and intercepts of the polynomial m^2 + 5m + 4 will be different.

<h3>Intercepts and zero of a function</h3>

A quadratic function is a function that has a degree of 2.

Given the following equation

f(m) = m^2 + 5m + 4

The x-intercept occurs at the point where f(m) is zero and same is applicable to the zeros of the function.

This shows that the zeros and intercepts of the polynomial m^2 + 5m + 4 will be different.

ANSWER PLZ QUICK AND FAST WHAT THE ANSWER
In-s [12.5K]
Hi there!

Let's solve this inequality step by step!
- 6r + 2r > 3 - 3r

First collect the terms on the left.
- 4r > 3 - 3r

In order to solve, we must isolate r. Therefore we need to bring them all to the left. Our next step will therefore be to add 3r to both sides of the equation.
- r > 3

Finally we need to divide both sides of the equation by -1. Because we divide by a negative, the sign flips.
r <  - 3

Hence, the answer is r < -3.

Which statement is true about the graphs of the two lines and ? y= -8x -5/4 and y = 1/8x + 4/5
Ronch [10]
Y = -8x - 5/4......slope here is -8 or -8/1
y = 1/8x + 4/5...slope here is 1/8

what u have here are negative reciprocal slopes....negative reciprocal of a number can be found by flipping the number and changing the sign. So the negative reciprocal of -8/1 is 1/8 (see how I flipped the number and changed the sign)...and when u have negative reciprocal slopes, this means that ur lines are perpendicular.
