The correct answer is A. the other light bulbs will turn off, because in a series circuit all of the light bulbs depend on one another since there is only one pathway for the electrons to flow. So if 1 light bulb goes out, the current will break thus stopping the flow of electrons, causing the other light bulbs to go out. Hope I helped!

An L-R-C series circuit, R = 160 Ω , L = 0.790 H , and C = 1.30×10−2 μF . The source has a voltage amplitude of 140 V and a freq
wolverine [178]

Answer: a) 1 b) 61 W c) 61 W

Explanation:

a) The  Power Factor (also known as cos φ), is defined by the difference in phase between current and voltage, in a RLC series circuit, and is expressed as follows:

cos φ = R / Z = R / \sqrt{(R)^{2} + (Xl -Xc)^{2} }

In resonance, XL =XC, so the circuit behaves like it were purely resistive, so Z=R.

Replacing in the expression for power factor, we have:

cos φ = R/Z = R/R = 1

This means that in resonance, current and voltage are in phase each other.

b) The average power delivered by the source, in resonance, is simply the power dissipated at the resistance R, as follows:

Pavg = V² rms / R = V₀² / √2 / R = 61 W

c) If the circuit remains in resonance, the average power , which does not depends on frequency provided this condition remains, keeps the same, i.e. , 61 W.

In the periodic table, the properties repeat in what direction?
pogonyaev

Answer:

Left to right and top to bottom

Explanation:

On the periodic table, the properties repeat from left to right and from top to bottom.

Periodic properties have a pattern from the top to the bottom or down a group or family.

Also, across the period from left to right, they also show a repeating pattern.

  1. Certain properties increase from left to right and decreases from top to bottom. E.g. electronegativity.
  2. Also, some properties decreases from left to right and increases from top to bottom e.g. atomic radius.

An object is located 50 cm from a converging lens having a focal length of 15 cm. Which of the following is true regarding the i
crimeas [40]

Answer:

It is real, inverted, and smaller than the object.

Explanation:

Let's start by using the lens equation to find the location of the image:

\frac{1}{q}=\frac{1}{f}-\frac{1}{p}

where we have:

q = ? is the distance of the image from the lens

f = 15 cm is the focal length (positive for a converging lens)

p = 50 cm is the distance of the object from the lens

Solving the equation for q, we find

\frac{1}{q}=\frac{1}{15 cm}-\frac{1}{50 cm}=0.047 cm^{-1}

q=\frac{1}{0.047 cm^{-1}}=+21.3 cm

The sign of q is positive, so the image is real.

Now let's also write the magnification equation:

h_i = - h_o \frac{q}{p}

where

h_i, h_o are the size of the image and of the object

By substituting p = 50 cm and q = 21.3 cm, we find

h_i = - h_o \frac{21.3 cm}{50 cm}=-0.43 h_o

So we notice that:

|h_i| < |h_o| : this means that the image is smaller than the object

h_i < 0 : this means that the image is inverted

so, the correct option is:

It is real, inverted, and smaller than the object.
