<em>Hey There!!~</em>

<em>Answer: </em><em>42</em>

<em>Because, 55 + 72 = 127. After you should do 3 ÷ 127. The divisor </em><em>(3)</em><em> goes into the first digit of the dividend </em><em>(1)</em><em>, 0 times. Therefore, put 0 on top. Then you should Multiply the divisor by the result in the previous step </em><em>(3 × 0 = 0)</em><em> and write that answer below the dividend. After that Subtract the result in the previous step from the first digit of the dividend (1 - 0 = 1) and write the answer below.  Move down the 2nd digit of the dividend in the below. The divisor (3) goes into the bottom number (12), 4 time(s). Therefore, put 4 on top... Subtract the result in the previous step from the number written above it. (12 - 12 = 0) and write the answer at the bottom. Move down the last digit of the dividend in the below. The divisor (3) goes into the bottom number (7), 2 time(s). Therefore put 2 on top, Multiply the divisor by the result in the previous step (3 x 2 = 6) and write the answer at the bottom... Subtract the result in the previous step from the number written above it. (7 - 6 = 1) and write the answer at the bottom.  The answer is the top number and the remainder is the bottom number. </em>

<em> </em>

<em>Therefore, the answer to 127 divided by 3 calculated using Long Division is</em>

<em>Answer: 42 and Remainder 1.</em>

A rectangular board has a perimeter of 28 feet. if the length is twice the width minus 1 foot, then what is the length of the bo
Westkost [7]
P = 2(L + W)
P = 28
L = 2W - 1

28 = 2(2W - 1 + W)
28 = 2(3W - 1)
28 = 6W - 2
28 + 2 = 6W
30 = 6W
30/6 = W
5 = W ....width is 5 ft

L = 2W - 1
L = 2(5) - 1
L = 10 - 1
L = 9 <=== length is 9 ft

John and Jane are married. The probability that John watches a certain television show is .7. The probability that Jane watches
ikadub [295]

a) The probability  that both John and Jane watch the show is 0.12.

b.The probability that Jane watches the show, given that John does is  0.1714.

c)They do watch show independent of each other.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, as given in the question:

Probability that John watches a certain show  = 0.7   ⇒ P(J) = 0.7

Probability that Jane watches a certain show  = 0.3   ⇒ P(Je) = 0.3

Probability that John watches a certain show given Jane watches it to

 = 0.4   ⇒ P(J/Je) = 0.4

a. )  Here, we need to find the probability of  both Jane and John watching a show , P(J∩Je)

Now, by BAYES THEOREM:

P(J/Je)  = \frac{P(J \cap Je)}{P(Je)}

\implies  0.4  = \frac{P(J \cap Je)}{0.3} \\\implies P(J \cap Je) = 0.4 \times 0.3  = 0.12

Hence the probability  that both John and Jane watch the show is 0.12.

b.) The probability that Jane watches the show, given that John does is P(J/Je)

By BAYES Theorem:

P(Je/J)  = \frac{P(J \cap Je)}{P(J)}\\\implies P(Je/J)  = \frac{0.12}{0.7}  = 0.1714

Hence, the probability that Jane watches the show, given that John does is  0.1714.

c) As we can see P(Jane ∩ John) =  0.12

So, the probability of both of them seeing the show TOGETHER is 0.12.

Hence, they do watch show independent of each other and the probability of doing that is 1.0.12  = 0.88
