TV = VX.

3x-24 = 2x + 1

Add 24 to both sides:

3x = 2x + 25

Subtract 2x from both sides:

X = 24

VX = 2(25) + 1 = 50 + 1 = 51

The answer is 51

Answer:

51

Step-by-step explanation:

Since it is an isosceles triangle the two sides are equal

3x - 24 = 2x + 1

x = 25

2(25) + 1 = 51

Rewrite the Cartesian equation y=-3 as a polar equation.

Explanation:

Imagine we have a point

P

with Rectangular (also called Cartesian) coordinates

(

x

,

y

)

and Polar coordinates

(

r

,

θ

)

.

The following diagram will help us visualise the situation better:

https://keisan.casio.com/exec/system/1223526375

https://keisan.casio.com/exec/system/1223526375

We can see that a right triangle is formed with sides

x

,

y

and

r

, as well as an angle

θ

.

We have to find the relation between the Cartesian and Polar coordinates, respectively.

By Pythagora's theorem, we get the result

r

2

=

x

2

+

y

2

The only properties we can say about

θ

are its trigonometric functions:

sin

θ

=

y

/

r

⇒

y

=

r

sin

θ

cos

θ

=

x

/

r

⇒

x

r

cos

So we have the following relations:

r

y

sin

Now, we can see that saying

in the Rectangular system is equivalent to say

If 2(x + 3) = x + 10, then x equals what
Rama09 [41]

Answer:

x=4

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:

1. You need to apply the Distributive property on the left member of the equation:

2(x + 3) = x + 10\\ 2x+6=x+10

2. Now, you must solve for x, as following:

2x-x=10-6\\ x=4

The perimeter of a rectangle is 180 cm. It's length is 70 cm. But what is the width
aleksandr82 [10.1K]
20

Formula for perimeter: length x 2 + width x 2

70x2 is 140 then subtract it from 180 and you’ll get 40, then you half it and get 20
