Answer:

At the year end the accounting records will show that the indirect cost are over allocated.

Explanation:

First of all let us see what information has been given to us in the question,

                                         Budget                                 Actual

INDIRECT COST            $3,00,000                             $309,000

LABOR HOUR                 50,000 dlh                             56,000 dlh

For us the salary of both attorney and paraprofessional is not of use to calculate the indirect cost for the year end.

So first step here would be to calculate the cost per hour of each professional, which can be taken out by using the formula

 \frac{BUDGETED INDIRECT COST}{TOTAL BUDGETED WORKING LABOR HOUR}

\frac{\$3,00,000}{50,000} = \$6

so the cost per hour for each professional is $6,

next step is to multiply the cost per hour by the actual labor working hours ,

        $6 x 56,000 = $3,36,00

but we the budget given in the question is $3,00,000 and the indirect cost that we have calculated is $3,36,000, so from this observation we can say that the indirect cost at the end of the accounting records would be over allocated.

You have planned purchases of $2,500. you have received orders that total $1,200, and you have ordered merchandise that totals $
laiz [17]
How to calculate Open-to-buy:
Open-to-buy = planned purchases - (orders received + merchandise ordered)

Planned purchases = $2,500
Received orders = $1,200
Ordered merchandise = $700

Open-to-buy = $2,500 - ($1,200 + $700)
Open-to-buy = $2,500 - $1,900
Open-to-buy = $600

A survey of 50 retail stores revealed that the average price of a microwave was $375 with a sample standard deviation of $20. As
ohaa [14]

Answer:

True cost of the microwave is in 99% confidence interval: c. $323.40 to $426.60

Explanation:

Relevant data:

n=50\\\mu=375\\\sigma=20\\\alpha=0,001

As we want to know the 99% confidence interval, the significance level is:

(1-\alpha).100\%=99\%\\1-\alpha=0.99\\\alpha=0.01

We need to estimate a confidence interval by a two tailed normal bell. Then we have:

Z_{\alpha/2}=Z_{0.005}

The z-value for a probability of 0.005 in a normal standard distribution is 2.576

Confidence interval is given by;:

\=x\±Z_{\alpha/2}\sigma\\375\±Z_{\0.005}(20)\\375\±(2.58)(20)\\375\±51.60

375+51.60=426.60\\375-51.60=323.40

True cost of the microwave is in 99% confidence interval: c. $323.40 to $426.60
