The newest phone by Samsung finally came out and costs $499. You were one of the first people in line to buy it so you got a 15%
Katena32 [7]

Answer:

$460.20

Step-by-step explanation:

499*15% = 74.85 (total discount price)

499-74.85 = 424.15 (deduct discount from original price)

424.15*8.5% = 36.05275 (total tax from price)

424.15+36.05275 = 460.20275 (add tax to discounted price)

Solve the system of equations.
Slav-nsk [51]
13x - 6y = 2......multiply by 2
3x - 4y = -10....multiply by -3
------------------
26x - 12y = 4 (result of multiplying by 2)
-9x + 12y = 30 (result of multiplying by -3)
-----------------add
17x = 34
x = 34/17
x = 2

now sub 2 in for x into either of the original equations to find y
3x - 4y = -10
3(2) - 4y = -10
6 - 4y = -10
6 + 10 = 4y
16 = 4y
16/4 = y
4 = y

solution is (2,4)

\frac{2}{3} teaspoons of cinnamon per cup of sugar.

Step-by-step explanation:

A recipe calls for \frac{3}{4} cups of sugar for every \frac{1}{2} teaspoons of cinnamon.

For one cup of sugar;

1 × \frac{1}{2} ÷ \frac{3}{4} = \frac{1}{2} × \frac{4}{3} = \frac{2}{3} teaspoons of cinnamon will be needed.

Can anyone help me with this math problem
Gnoma [55]

Answer:

B.)

Step-by-step explanation:

In step #1 they did the distributive property

2/5 × 15x = 6x

2/5 × -30y = -12y

The new equation would be:

6x - 12y + 10x

<em><u>Further</u></em><em><u> </u></em><em><u>Explanation</u></em>

They then combined 6x + 10x to get 16x

16x - 12y

They then factored it out to 4(4x - 3y)
