nd the distance traveled by this object.
A) The displacement is either less than or equal to the distance traveled.
B) The displacement is either greater than or equal to the distance traveled.

Answer:

A) The displacement is either less than or equal to the distance traveled.

Explanation:

The displacement is a vector, which is equal to the difference between  the vector representing final position (distance from the origin) and the vector representing initial position.

Opposite to it, the distance is a scalar, and is always additive, independent of the direction of the trajectory.

So, only in the case of a straight line trajectory from one point to another, the distance can be equal to displacement, being larger otherwise.

In the limit case, if the initial and the final position are the same point, the displacement is 0, whilst the distance can be any.

Why are the largest craters we find on the Moon and Mercury so much larger than the largest craters we find on the Earth
Veronika [31]

Answer:

Because Moon and Mars has no atmosphere.

Explanation:

Moon and Mars has no atmosphere, so there is no friction on the falling object due to the atmosphere. The speed of the falling object is more at Moon and Mars.

When a small object impact on the surface of moon or Mars with high speed, the size of crater is large than the earth as out earth has atmosphere.

A truck travelled at a constant speed for 6 hours. Then , it decreased itd speed by 13 mph for the remaining 228 miles. If the t
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

Time taken to travel remaining 228 miles = 2.4 hours.

Explanation:

Total distance = 876 miles.

Distance traveled after speed reduction = 228 miles

So, distance traveled before = 876 - 228 =648 miles.

Time taken for this = 6 hours.

Speed before speed reduction = 648/6 = 108 mph.

Speed after speed reduction = 108 - 13 = 95 mph

Time taken to travel remaining 228 miles = 228/95 = 2.4 hours.
