\frac{1}{4} * (1-2/3)^{2}  + \frac{1}{3}

= \frac{1}{4} * ( 1 -  \frac{4}{3} +  \frac{4}{9} ) +  \frac{1}{3}

= \frac{1}{4} -  \frac{1}{3} +  \frac{1}{9} +  \frac{1}{3}

= \frac{1}{4} +  \frac{1}{9}

= \frac{9 + 4}{9 * 4}

= \frac{13}{36}

Kazeer [188]
So first find time elapsed
10:40-11:40=1
11:40-12:40=1
12:40-1:10=0.5 or 30 mins

so add
1+1+0.5=2.5, 2 hours 30 mins

In the year 2003, a company made $6.8 million in profit. For each consecutive year after that, their profit increased by 13%. Ho
LenKa [72]

Answer:

$7.7 million

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: $6.8 million profit made by company.

           13% increase in profit every year.

Now, finding the company´s profit in the year of 2006.

As we know there is 13% increase in profit.

∴ Profit increase= \frac{13}{100} \times 6.8= \$ 0.884

Next adding company´s profit with increase in profit to get profit in the year 2006.

∴ 6.8+0.884= \$ 7.684 ≅ $7.7

The company´s profit in the year 2006 is $7.7 million.

The formula for the lateral surface area of a cylinder is S=2πrhS=2πrh , where r is the radius of the bases and h is the height.
rewona [7]

Answer:

S / (2 * pi * h) =  r

Step-by-step explanation:

S = 2*pi * r * h

solve for r

Divide each side by 2* pi * h to isolate r

S / (2 * pi * h) = 2*pi * r * h/( 2 * pi * h)

S / (2 * pi * h) =  r

9 /4  − 6 /1  + 3 /1 =
Yuliya22 [10]
-3/4 is the answer.

First you must make all the denominators the same = 9/4 = 9/4, 6/1 (mulitply both sides by 4) = 24/4, 3/1 (multiply both sides by 4) = 12/4. So we come out with 9/4 - 24/4 +12/4.

Then solve. 9/4 - 24/4 +12/4 = -3/4
