Find the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle whose legs are 5 and √2.
Blizzard [7]

Answer:

\sqrt{27}

Step-by-step explanation:

Using Pythagoras' identity in the right triangle

The square on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares on the other 2 sides.

let h represent the hypotenuse, then

h² = 5² + (\sqrt{2} )² = 25 + 2 = 27 ( take the square root of both sides )

h = \sqrt{27} ← exact value

Using chain rule, what is the derivative of arcsin(sin(x))
oee [108]
Chain rule:
if
y=y(u) and u=u(x)
The dy/dx=(dv/du)(du/dx)

In our case
y=arcsin(u)
u=sin(x)

dy/du=1/√(1-u²) = 1/√(1-sin²x)
du/dx=cos x

dy/dx=cos x /√(1-sin²x)

Answer: dy/dx=cos x /√(1-sin²x)
