Answer:

20 cm and 34.64 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the triangle with vertex 60 degrees. The diagonal is perpendicular to the other diagonal , and  it bisects the  60 degree angle.

So we have the relation  cos 30 = x / 20 where x = 1/2 of the diagonal.

x = 20 cos 30

x = 17.32

And as the diagonals bisect each other this diagonal = 2*17.32 = 34.64 cm.

Similarly, the other diagonal = 2 * 20 cos 60 =  20 cm

Which equation does the graph below represent?
Sergeu [11.5K]

Answer:

y = (½)x

Step-by-step explanation:

(-8,-4) (0,0) and (8,4)

Use any 2 points to find the slope, hence the equation

slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

= (0-(-4))/(0-(-8))

= 4/8

= ½

y = (½)x + c

When x=0, y=0

0 = (½)(0) + c

c = 0

Equation is:

y = (½)x

At higher elevations water boils at lower temperatures. The temperature at which water boils is called the boiling point of wate
Leya [2.2K]
B(x) = 100 - 3.5x
84 = 100 - 3.5x
3.5x = 100 - 84 = 16
x = 16/3.5 = 4.6 kilometers

96 = 100 - 3.5x
3.5x = 100 - 96 = 4
x = 4/3.5 = 1.1 kilometers

Therefore, the boiling point of water is between 84°C and 96°C at elevations of between 4.6 kilometers and 1.1 kilometers.

The graph shows the location of point P and point R. Point R is on the y-axis and has the same y-coordinate as point P. Point Q
Mumz [18]

Answer:

n = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Coordinate of P = (n,3)

R is on y-axis & the y-coordinate of P & R are equal. So coordinate of R = (3,0)

Coordinate of Q = (n,-2)

Using distance formula,

Distance between P & Q =

\sqrt{ {( n  -  n}) ^{2} +  {( 3-  ( - 2)  })^{2}   }

=  >  \sqrt{ {(3 + 2)}^{2} }  =  \sqrt{ {5}^{2} }  = 5

Distance between P & R =

\sqrt{ {(n - 0)}^{2} +  {(3 - 3)}^{2}  }

=  >  \sqrt{ {n}^{2} }  = n

But in question it is given that distance between P & Q is equal to the distance between P & R. So,

n = 5
