If it is a ray of White light, the Prism will break up the white light into every colour of the Spectrum, these colours are every colour of the rainbow, and is due to some light refracting through the prism and colours shining back out at different wavelengths.

Use the data below to compute the gravitational force that the Sun exerts on Jupiter. (Use G = 6.67 x 10^-11 N · m²/kg².)
Mademuasel [1]

The gravitational force on two objects can be determined by the following equation:

F=G\frac{m_{1}m_{2}}{r^2}

Where G is the gravitational constant m1 is mass 1, m2 is the second mass nad r^2 is distance between these objects.  Therefore, let m1 = mass of Sun 1.99x10^30 kg, m2= mass of Jupiter 1.90x10^27 kg, r is the average distance between the Sun and Jupiter 7.78x10^11 m.  By plugging these values in we have:

F=6.67x10^{-11}\frac{(1.99x10^{30})(1.90x10^{27})}{(7.78x10^{11})^2}

F=4.1665x10^{23}

F=4.17x10^23 N

A smooth wooden block is placed on a smooth wooden tabletop. You find that you must exert a force of 22.0 N to keep this 7.00 kg
xxMikexx [17]

Answer:

B . 68.7 N

Explanation:

Given in the question that;

Force = 22 N

Mass = 7.0 kg

Velocity = 4.0 m/s

Gravitational force is the weight of wooden block , calculated as mass times acceleration due to gravity.

F= m* a

F= 7 * 9.81

F= 68.67 N

F= 68.7 N

Express 79 m in units of (a) centimeters
dem82 [27]

Answer: a) 7,00 centimeters

(b) 259. 19 feet

(c) 3110.28 inches

(d) 0.049 miles

Explanation:

(a) We know that 1 meter = 100 centimeters

Therefore,

79\ m= 7,900\text{ centimeters}

(b)Since 1 meter = 3.28084 feet

Then, 79\ m= 79\times3.28084=259.18636\approx 259.19\text{ feet}

(c) Since, 1 feet = 12 inches.

79\ m=259.19\text{ feet}=259.19\times12=3110.28\text{ inches}

(d) \text{Since 1 feet= }\dfrac{1}{5280}\text{ mile}

79\ m=259.19\text{ feet}=\dfrac{259.19}{5280}= 0.0490890151515\approx0.049\text{ miles}

Why does conduction occur in solids?
dmitriy555 [2]

Answer:

Conduction occurs more readily in solids and liquids, where the particles are closer to together, than in gases, where particles are further apart. ... As these molecules collide, thermal energy is transferred via conduction to the rest of the pan.

Explanation:

Metals have tightly packed atoms which can easily pass on their kinetic energy and also have free moving electrons.
