The idea about the atom which has now been dropped off as inaccurate by the scientist is the idea of the atom to be a solid material.

Answer: Option D

<u>Explanation:</u>

From Rutherford Alpha Ray scattering Experiment, most of the atom spaces are empty because the alpha particles are not deviated by positive charge of nucleus. This leads to the conclusion that atoms cannot be considered as perfect solid sphere.

Apart from the last option, all other options are still found to be accurate. That is, electrons are found in layers which are known as the electron shells. The electrons do have the negative charge which is neutralized by the positive charge of the nucleus. And nucleus is present in the center.

If an object has a mass of 1417g and it is moved 47 meters in 90 seconds, how much power was used?
astraxan [27]

Mass of the object is given as

m = 1417 g = 1.417 kg

now the speed of object is given as

v = \frac{d}{t}

here we know that

d = 47 m

t = 90 s

now we will have

v = \frac{47}{90} = 0.52 m/s

now we will have kinetic energy of the object as

KE = \frac{1}{2}mv^2

KE = \frac{1}{2}(1.417)(0.52)^2

KE = 0.19 J

now the power is defined as rate of energy

so here we can find power as

P = \frac{KE}{t}

P = \frac{0.19}{90} = 2.14\times 10^{-3} W

so above is the power used for the object

ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Answer:

Light refracts when its speed changes as it enters a new medium.

Explanation:

Bending of light wave while it entering a medium with different speed is called refraction of light. Light passing from a faster medium to the slower medium bends the light rays toward the normal to boundary between two media. The amount of the  bending of light depends on refractive index of the two media which is described by  the Snell's Law. The angle of incidence is not equal to  angle of refraction. Rainbow is caused but this refraction phenomena. Also Refraction is used in magnifying glasses, prism and lenses

A bottle of soda always has a space between the cape and the top of the liquid. Explain<br>
serious [3.7K]

Answer:

All soft drinks contain water. When soft drink bottles are chilled in sub-zero temperatures, the water on account of its anomalous expansion expands. Thus, to provide space for expanding water, soft drink bottles are not completely filled as otherwise they will burst.
