A long, straight wire is surrounded by a hollow metal cylinder whose axis coincides with that of the wire. The wire has a charge

per unit length of λ, and the cylinder has a net charge per unit length of 2λ. From this information, use Gauss's law to find the following:
(Use any variable or symbol stated above along with the following as necessary: ε0 and π.)

(a) the charge per unit length on the inner surface of the cylinder. λinner =
(b) the charge per unit length on the outer surface of the cylinder. λouter =
(c) the electric field outside the cylinder a distance r from the axis. magnitude

Based on your question a long straight wire is surrounded by a narrow metal cylinder whose axis coincides with that of the wire. The possible answer are the following:
A.- (lambda) per unit length of the inner surface of the cylinder
B. (lambda)outer = 3 (lambda)
C. E= 3(lambda)/(4 pi epsilon(0) r^2)

In which situation is no work considered to be done by a force?
andre [41]
If the angle is either 0 or 180, that means that there is either negative or positive work, so A and D are not correct.
If the angle is 45, then there is still some work involved.
The only option where there is no work done by a force is B. when the angle is between the force and displacement is 90.
