Since 3/4 of 20 is 15, 15 is 3/4 of tank.

Then since the tanked is being filled at a unit rate of 2 I would do 2 * 7.5 which is 15 :D Yay!

Then I would do 1 * 7.5 which is 7.5

So, the tanked would be filled at 3/4 in 7.5 minutes or 7 1/2 a minute.

Which value of x makes the equation 0.75(x + 20) = 2 + 0.5(x − 2) true?
rodikova [14]
You’d have to solve your equations!

they’d be the same when x=-56

and when x=-56 they’d BOTH equal -27

A shipment of 8 tons of sugar is separated into containers of equal size. If the shipment fills 3 1/3 containers, how much sugar
liubo4ka [24]
Take 8 and divide it by 3 1/3. to make it easer 1/3 could be .3 as a decimal.
so 8 divided by 3.3.
8/3.3= 2.42
so it would be 2.42 tons of sugar per container.
