1. Poiseuille's Law is used to determine flow via various lengths, widths and pressure gradients. Flow is ultimately dependent on radius and pressure gradient because viscosity and length relatively remain constant. Small changesi n radius lead to drastic changes in resistance.

2. Parallel Circulation. Vasoconstriction serves to shunt blood flow to other areas with much less significant effects on pressure. The total resistance is inversely proportional.

3. Series Circulation. Vasoconstriction increases back pressure and decreases downstream flow and pressure.

Makovka662 [10]
Adeline, age 90, still drives her car to the senior center every Friday. Last week she tells you that someone you know from her church died. When you ask her for the person's name, she says, "I cant remember her name. She sits near the front and always has a hat on." Clearly Adeline has better implicit memory than explicit memory.

Alenkasestr [34]

The nurse is caring for a client who underwent surgery 1 day ago. By independent nursing diagnosis the problem that can be addressed could be that the client has diminished breath sounds.

What is nursing diagnosis?

A nursing diagnosis is defined by NANDA International (2013) as a clinical judgment that concerns a human response to health conditions/life processes, or vulnerability for that response, by an individual, family, group, or community.

During the postoperative period, the focus of the nursing care should be reestablishing the patient's physiologic balance, pain management and prevention of complications.
