Setup a system of equations.

r + I = 26
4.25r + 7.50i = 143.00
r = 26-i
Plug r = 26-i into 2nd equation and solve

4.25(26-i) + 7.50i = 143.00
110.50 - 4.25i + 7.50i = 143.00
110.50 + 3.25i = 143.00
Subtract 110.50 from both sides
3.25i = 32.50
Divide both sides by 3.25
I = 10
10 pairs of inline skates
26-10= 16
16 pairs of regular skates

A furniture maker uses the specification 19.88
dimulka [17.4K]

Answer:

The correct answer is:

w-12 20

Explanation:

We first find the average of the two ends of the inequality:

(19.88+20.12)/2 = 40/2 = 20

This will be the number subtracted from w in the inequality.

Now we find the difference between this value and the ends:

20-19.88 = 0.12

20.12 - 20 = 0.12

This will be what our absolute value inequality ends with; the "answer" part, so to speak.

Since this inequality is written in compact form, it must be an "and" inequality; this means the absolute value inequality must be a "less than or equal to."

This gives us

w -12 20

Jeremy swims 5 3/5 kilometers in a 7 day period. He swims the same distance each day. What distance does he swim?
PIT_PIT [208]
Since 5 3/5 can be turned into 28/5, then divided by 7/1, you will get 4/5. So Jeremy swims 4/5 of a kilometer each day.

Dimas [21]

Answer:

r³ + 15r² - 10r - 4

Step-by-step explanation:

First, note you can remove the brackets, in this case they contribute nothing at all.

Then, group the like terms and add them, e.g., we have 3r³ and -2r², they add up to r³.

Finally, order them from greatest power of r to smallest power of r.

That's all!
