If a person tosses a coin 23 times, how many ways can he get 11 heads

Tossing a coin is a binomial experiment.

Now lets say there are 'n' repeated trials to get heads. Each of the trials can result in either a head or a tail.

All of these trials are independent since the result of one trial does not affect the result of the next trial.

Now, for 'n' repeated trials the total number of successes is given by

_{r}^{n}\textrm{C}

where 'r' denotes the number of successful results.

In our case n=23 and r=11,

Substituting the values we get,

_{11}^{23}\textrm{C}=\frac{23!}{11!\times 12!}

\frac{23!}{11!\times 12!}=1352078

Therefore, there are 1352078 ways to get heads if a person tosses a coin 23 times.

5v/9+w=z, solve for v
N76 [4]
Isolate the term that has v :
5 v/9 =z-w
Multiply both sides by 9:
5v =(z-w)•9
Divide both sides by 5:
v= (z-w)•9/5

The weight of potato chips in a medium-size bag is stated to be 10 ounces the amount that the packaging machine puts in these ba
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer:

The probability that the mean weight of a 24-bag case of potato chips is below 10 ounces is approximately 0.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let <em>X</em> = weight of potato chips in medium size bag.

The random variable <em>X</em> follows a Normal distribution with mean, <em>μ</em> = 10.2 ounces and standard deviation, <em>σ</em> = 0.12 ounces.

A sample of <em>n</em> = 24 bags of chips is selected.

Compute the probability that the mean weight of these 24 bags is less than 10 ounces as follows:

P(\bar X

Thus, the probability that the mean weight of a 24-bag case of potato chips is below 10 ounces is approximately 0.
