Answer:

a. 3.25 m

b.1.2 ft

Solution,

a. Let 'h' be the height of cylinder

Given,

Radius(r)=0.7 m

Volume(v)=5 m^3

Formula to find volume of cylinder

\pi {r}^{2} h

where r= radius and h= height

so,

\frac{22}{7}  \times 0.7 \times 0.7 \times h = 5 \\ or \: h =  \frac{5 \times 7}{22 \times 0.7 \times 0.7}  \\ or \: h =  \frac{35}{22  \times 0.49}  \\ or \: h =  \frac{35}{10.78}  \\ h = 3.25 \: m

b.

volume = 1.59 =  \frac{14}{12}  \times  \frac{14}{12}  \times h \\ 1.59 =  \frac{ {14}^{2} }{144}  \times h \\ h =  \frac{1.59 \times 144}{196}  \\ h = 1.168 \: ft \\ h = 1.2 \: ft

hope this helps...

Good luck on your assignment...

Answer: height = 1.16 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

14 inches = 1.17 feet

Height of the oven =

Height = volume / lw

H = 1.59 / 1.17*1.17

H = 1.16 feet

Answer:

$838.50

Step-by-step explanation:

10% of 1290 is 129 making 5% 64.5

35%= 129+129+129+64.5=451.5

1290-451.5=838.50

PLEASEEE EXPLAIN AND HELP
Firdavs [7]

The length of the unknown sides of the triangles are as follows:

CD = 10√2

AC = 10√2

BC =  10

AB = 10

<h3>Triangle ACD</h3>

ΔACD is a right angle triangle. Therefore, Pythagoras theorem can be used to find the sides of the triangle.

  • c² = a² + b²

where

c = hypotenuse side = AD = 20

a and b are the other 2 legs

lets use trigonometric ratio to find CD,

cos 45 = adjacent / hypotenuse

cos 45 = CD / 20

CD = 1 / √2 × 20

CD = 20 / √2 = 20√2 / 2 = 10√2

20² - (10√2)² = AC²

400 - 100(2)  = AC²

AC² = 200

AC = √200 = 10√2

<h3>Triangle ABC</h3>

ΔABC is a right angle triangle too. Therefore,

  • AB² + BC² = AC²

Using trigonometric ratio,

cos 45 = BC / 10√2

BC = 10√2 × cos 45

BC = 10√2 × 1 / √2

BC = 10√2 / √2 =  10

(10√2)² - 10² = AB²

200 - 100 = AB²

AB² = 100

AB = 10

Question
Vlada [557]

Answer:

(-6,4)

Step-by-step explanation:

You started at (-4,2)  The first number in the ordered pair moves the number left and right and the second number moved the point up and down.

We are first told to move the point 2 units to the left.  -4 is my left right number.  If I am at -4 and I go to unites to the left, I will be at -6.  My new point is now (-6,2).  Next we are told to go up 2.  The 2 number in my ordered pair tells me that I am 2 above the x axis.  Now I am going to go two more units up.  I am now at 4, so my new ordered pair after the translation is (-6,4)
