Answer:

. d. peas have an unusually long generation time

Explanation:

Gregor mendel is a scientist, he was bored 20th July,1822. He carried out an experiment using pea plant and he is reffer to as the father of genetist. Mendel used seven traits of the pea plant in his experiments this include flower color which is either purple or white, flower position which is either axil or terminal stem length which could be long or short, seed shape (round or wrinkled), seed color (yellow or green), pod shape (inflated or constricted) and pod color (yellow or green). He uses pea plant because of the following reason,

pea plant has many observable characteristics that could be used such as flower colors, seed shape.

Pea plant is an annual crop that matures early, so earliness to maturation makes Mendel select pea

Mating in pea plant can be controlled. Pea plant are self fertilizing crop but he decided to control the mating pattern by cross fertilize them and avoiding contamination from other pea plant.

The experiment with pea pant would produce enough seeds for subsequent generation.

This experiment made Mendel propound 2 laws, law of segregation of gene and law of Independent assortment of gene.

henke vg, bateman bt, leffert lr. focused review: spinal anesthesia in severe pre-eclampsia. anesth analg. 2013 sep;117(3):686-9
stira [4]

A form of neuraxial anesthesia known as spinal anesthesia involves injecting local anesthetic (LA) into the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of the lumbar spine in order to numb the nerves that leave the spinal cord.

What does the study indicate?

 • As long as there is no indwelling epidural catheter or neuraxial anesthesia contraindication, spinal anesthesia is generally regarded as a reasonable anesthetic choice for cesarean delivery in severe preeclampsia.
 • Those with severe preeclampsia experience spinal-induced hypotension less frequently and with less severity than healthy parturients.
 • Although spinal anesthetic may result in more hypotension than epidural anesthesia in cases of severe preeclampsia, this hypotension is often manageable, transient, and unrelated to clinically meaningful differences in outcomes.

Given the mRNA sequence below, what would tRNA anticodons be in response? A-U-G-C-C-U-A-C-G-G-G-G-G-C-C-A
Lesechka [4]

Answer:

U-A-C-G-G-A-U-G-C--C-C-C-C-G-G-U

Explanation:

The mRNA (messenger RNA) is produced via the process of TRANSCRIPTION, which is the first stage of gene expression in living cells. The mRNA sequence formed is further read in the ribosomes in a group of three nucleotides called CODONS. This reading is done by another type of RNA called transfer RNA (tRNA).

The tRNA uses a set of three nucleotide bases that are complementary to that of the mRNA codons called ANTICODON. The anticodons are complementary to the mRNA codon i.e. A on the mRNA sequence will be read and recognized by U on the tRNA anticodon.

Hence, given the mRNA sequence: A-U-G-C-C-U-A-C-G-G-G-G-G-C-C-A, the tRNA anticodons that will read this sequence will be: U-A-C-G-G-A-U-G-C--C-C-C-C-G-G-U

How would you describe symmetry in invertebrates?
vodomira [7]

Answer:

Invertebrates can have bilateral or radial symmetry, or they can be asymmetrical. Bilateral symmetry means that the animal is arranged in the same way on both sides. Radial symmetry means the body parts are arranged in a circle around a central point.
