Answer:

10 - B = U

Step-by-step explanation:

U stands for the unopened bottles

for example if they opened 3 bottles it would be 10 - 3 = U (unopened bottles)

The value of U is 7 because the 10 bottles of water minus the 3 bottles they opened it would equal 7.

therefore the equation 10 - B = U shows the amount of unopened bottles

Can someone help with this problem please? Thanks.
Zarrin [17]
First, find the slope of the line. Use the two points given, (-4,0) and (4,2), in the slope formula rise over run. The change in rise is 2 and the change in run is 8, meaning that the slope is 2/8, simplified to 1/4. The y-intercept is 1, shown by the graph and the dashed line and shaded area means that the inequality symbol must be <. Slope-intercept form is shown as y = mx + b, so after putting our information in to the equation the answer is y < 1/4x + 1. Hope this helps!

a map has a scale of 6 in : 36 mi. If Clayton and Clinton are 52 mi apart, then they are how far apart on the map?
cricket20 [7]
The map scale is 6 in : 36 mi

simplify it, divide 6 from both sides

6/6 = 1
36/6 = 6

1 in : 6 mi

To find the amount of inches in 52 miles, divide 52 with 6

52/6 = 8.67 (rounded)

8.67 in should be your answer

hope this helps

Hey can you please help me posted picture of question
ICE Princess25 [194]
The answer is true.

Method 1:
The given function is a cubic function. And inverse of a cubic function is also a function.

Method 2:
Since the function is one-to-one function i.e it passes the horizontal line test, its function will pass the vertical line test which is a test if a relation is a function or not.

So, yes the inverse of G(x) will be a function.

The average of three different positive integers is 8. What is the largest integer that could be one of them.
Trava [24]
Supposing that the integers are x, y and z, and that their average is 8, then

x+y+z
-------- = 8, or x + y + z = 24.
    3

Let's experiment.    Making up a table, we get:

x   y   z   sum (sum MUST be 24)
5  9  10    24
4  9   11    24
3  10  11   24
2   11 11    24
1   11  12   24
1   10  13   24
1    1   22   24

Can't choose integers smaller than 1, so it appears that 22 is the largest possible integer that could be one of x, y and z.
