Experimental participants reviewed two research studies, one supporting and the other refuting the crime-deterring effectiveness of capital punishment. Afterward, the opinions of those who initially favored the use of capital punishment became more favorable toward its use. The opinions of those who initially opposed the use of capital punishment became less.

Explanation:

The capital punishments are much needed because present day crimes are very serious and should be given immediate punishments. Some laws support the crime-deterring effectiveness of capital punishment. Several have worked against it and some have supported it too. After analyzing several research studies, there occurred several turns of events.

But at last, the opinions of people who initially favored the use of capital punishment were now favoring the decision even more. And people who opposed were even strongly opposing the use.
