3 is the tenths place because 3/10 is .3 and 1 is the hundredths place because 1/100 is .01 and thousandths place because 8/1000 is .008 so to round the 8 it would be rounding down to just 8 because the ten-thousandths place is a 4 but if it were 5 or higher you would round up to a 9. The answer is 64,672.318 and I hope this helps you towards similar problems

What is the answer to..2/3 y + 3 = 29 ? I really don't understand this...please help.
Alla [95]
Firstly, you bring over the the +3 to the opposite side so it is 2/3y = 29-3 So 2/3y = 26 So for fractions 2\3y =26/1 y= 2/3 divided by 26/1 so first you flip the equation so 26/1 times 3/2 so 26 x 3 = 78 and 1x2=2, so 78/2= 39 y=39

stiks02 [169]

Answer:

24 cars

Step-by-step explanation:

out of 80 toys, 3/5 are buses- 80 * 3/5 is 48 so there are 48 buses

80 - 48 is 32, 32 of the rest of the toys are cars and bikes

we know that there are 3 times as many cars than bikes, so to find out how many cars and bikes there we can do 3n + n, where n is the number of bikes it also equals 4n

32 = 4n; n = 8

there are 8 bikes, so there are 24 cars

Answer:

 2. correct

 3. addition property of equality

 4. substitution property of equality

Step-by-step explanation:

You're asked for the Reasons, so you need to examine the Statements to see how you get from one line to the next.

The first line of Statement 2 differs from Statement 3 in that m∠GHI has been added to both sides of the equation (ignoring the typo in statement 3). The reason you can add the same thing to both sides of an equation is given by the Addition Property of Equality.

Statement 3 differs from Statement 4 in that one of the m∠GHI has been replaced by m∠JKL. We can do this replacement because those measures are equal to each other. Replacement of equals by equals is allowed by the Substitution Property of Equality.
