Does vinegar melt ice the fastest?

Chemistry

Vinegar does not melt ice the fastest because vinegar is largely composed of acetic acid and mostly water.The rate of melting depends on the thermal conductivity of the substance in contact with the ice cube. The higher the thermal conductivity, the quicker heat is transferred from the ice cube to the substance. Salt water has a high thermal conductivity so it would melt ice the fastest

Answer the lab question (“What is the effect of temperature on the solubility of a solid in a liquid?”) with a hypothesis:
valkas [14]

Explanation:

When experimenting, the best hypothesis to develop would be a null hypothesis (H₀). A null hypothesis is a statement indicating no change or effect.  In this case, it would be;

“There is no effect of temperature on the solubility of a solid in a liquid”

An alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) would be;

“There is an effect of temperature on the solubility of a solid in a liquid”

In this experiment, the null hypothesis would be rejected and the alternative would be accepted. This is because the experiment would show that increased temperatures of the liquid increases solubility of the solid in the liquid.

You have a gas with a density of 4.8 grams per Liter and a molar mass of 75.3 grams per mole. How many liters of gas do you have

d = √((x1 - x2)2 + (y1 - y2)2)

( -2 , 5 )   ( 12 , -1 )

  ↑    ↑         ↑     ↑

 x1    y1        x2    y2

d = √((-2 - 12)2 + (5 - (-1))2) = √((-14)2 + 62) = √(196 + 36) = √232 = 2√58 ≈ 15.23

What method would you use to obtain pure water from a mixture of water and ink
mel-nik [20]

Answer: Distillation

Explanation: Separate ink from water using a process called distillation. This is a process of separating two substances mixed together. Water vaporizes at a lower temperature than the ink pigment so if you heat them, the water evaporates, leaving the ink pigment in the flask.
