-22 + 11b = 8b + 8

Isolate the b. Add 22 to both sides, and subtract 8b from both sides.

-22 (+22) + 11b (-8b) < 8b (-8b) + 8 (+22)

11b - 8b < 8 + 22

Simplify. Combine like terms

11b - 8b < 8 + 22

3b < 30

Isolate the b. Divide 3 from both sides

(3b)/3 < (30)/3

b < 30/3
