Why did aristotle most likely classify plants by their shape and animals by where they lived

Biology
1 answer:
Rama09 [41]3 years ago
5 0

This is because Aristotle believed that purposive final causes guided all natural processes. He classified organism according to their traits, but there was many problems of Aristotle’s limited classification because some organisms didn’t fit the group.

For example, he put birds, bats, and flying insects in the same classification group because of their ability to fly, but today we know that they have little in common. He also distinguished animals with blood and animals without blood.

Describe Gregor Mendels contributions to the study of genetics
juin [17]
“Gregor Mendel, through his work on pea plants, discovered the fundamental laws of inheritance. He deduced that genes come in pairs and are inherited as distinct units, one from each parent. Mendel tracked the segregation of parental genes and their appearance in the offspring as dominant or recessive traits.”
